Hi B789
Defence form completed and submited.
Is there anything else I need to do now or is it just a thing of waiting for the next stage?
Kind regards

Nothing else to do for now. You will next receive notification that they have seen your defence and you will need to complete an N180 Directions Questionnaire (DQ).
Let me know when you receive that.

Hi @
Torenaga. You don't need to show us the N180. Just follow this advice to complete it:
Quote:You can check your MCOL history to see when your own N180 has been issued or just wait to receive it in the post. Having received your own N180 (make sure it is not simply a copy of the claimants N180) or been notified on MCOL that yours has been sent, do not use the paper form. Ignore all the other forms that came with it. you can discard those. Download your own N180 DQ here and fill it in on your computer. You sign it by simply typing your full name in the signature box.

Here are the answers to some of the less obvious questions:
- The name of the court is "Civil National Business Centre".
- To be completed by "Your full name" and you are the "Defendant".
- C1: "YES"
- D1: "NO". Reason:
Quote:"I wish to question the Claimant about their evidence at a hearing in person and to expose omissions and any misleading or incorrect evidence or assertions.
Given the Claimant is a firm who complete cut & paste parking case paperwork for a living, having this case heard solely on papers would appear to put the Claimant at an unfair advantage, especially as they would no doubt prefer the Defendant not to have the opportunity to expose the issues in the Claimants template submissions or speak as the only true witness to events in question."
[*]
When you have completed the form, attach it to a single email addressed to both dq.cnbc@justice.gov.uk and info@blegal.co.uk and CC in yourself. Make sure that the claim number is in the subject field of the email.

Hi b789.
I just checked the mcol website and it says that "dq filed by claimant 2/4/26" and "dq sent to you 2/4/26".
Does this mean that the n180 has been issued by mcol/the courts now as well and i should go ahead and fill in the form that you posted the link for?
I have not recieved anything in the post yet but i assume this could be due to the Easter holidays.
Kind regards

You have to fill out section E because the mediation phone call is mandatory. Whilst it is a complete waste of time and is not part of the judicial process, you have to go through the motions. No judge is involved.
You can tell the mediator that the claimant has a copy of your defence and you are prepared to offer £0. It will be over in a few minutes. The only mandatory part is to actually attend the call.
As for section F2, select NO.
