@Torenaga, thanks for uploading the court notice. We now have the important date we've been waiting for. DCB Legal must pay the £27 trial fee by 4pm on Friday 6th November 2026, otherwise the claim will automatically be struck out without further order, unless the court orders otherwise.
As previously explained, DCB Legal are most likely going to discontinue shortly before the trial fee becomes payable. I would therefore expect this claim to follow their usual modus operandi.
For now, there is nothing further you need to submit simply because you have received this notice. However, make sure you check the Notice of Allocation, if you've already received it, for any outstanding directions, particularly deadlines for exchanging witness statements and evidence. Those directions remain binding unless the court orders otherwise.
If you have not received a Notice of Discontinuance by 9th November, contact Croydon County Court and ask whether the trial fee was paid by the deadline and whether the claim remains live. If/when DCB Legal do discontinue, that will be the end of the claim.
Otherwise, we must continue preparing on the assumption that the hearing on 4th December will proceed.
